Asset Models

Overview

Every asset at Cola Solar must belong to an asset model. A model defines the type of item — for example, “Felicity 5kVA Inverter” or “HP LaserJet Pro M404dn”. Models carry shared attributes like depreciation and category that all assets under them inherit.

To access: Admin → Asset Models

Creating an Asset Model

1. Go to Admin → Asset Models → Create New
2. Enter the Model Name — e.g. Felicity 5kVA Inverter
3. Select the Manufacturer
4. Enter the Model Number if available
5. Select the Category — e.g. Inverters, Laptops, Tools
6. Set Depreciation if applicable
7. Upload a Model Image — appears on all assets of this type
8. Click Save

Set images at the model level, not on individual assets, unless a specific unit has something unique about it.
