Asset Labels

Overview

Snipe-IT generates printable labels for assets. Each label includes the asset tag, a 1D barcode for USB scanner use, and a QR code that links directly to the asset record.

Generating Labels

1. Go to Assets and select items using the checkboxes
2. Scroll to the bottom of the list
3. Select Generate Labels from the action dropdown
4. Labels open in a print-ready view

Label Contents

Each label contains:

• Asset tag and name
• 1D barcode — scan with a USB barcode scanner via the top search bar
• QR code — scan with any phone camera to open the asset record directly

Label Settings

Label size and layout are configured under Admin → Settings → Labels. Adjust dimensions there if labels don’t match your printer or sheet size.

Barcodes must be enabled in Admin → Settings → Labels for label generation to work.
